Compare the whole package

A combined auto and home proposal may be convenient, and some insurers offer discounts. Availability and savings vary. Before choosing a bundle, compare both policies with your needs rather than focusing only on the discount shown on the quote.

Check each coverage on its own

For the home, review property limits, valuation, deductibles and exclusions. For the auto, review drivers, vehicle use, liability limits and any physical damage coverage. Ask whether the quoted total includes the full policy term and all listed charges. A lower combined price can still come with a different deductible or reduced coverage.

Coordinate dates and documents

Confirm effective dates before canceling existing coverage. If your home policy involves a mortgage escrow account, discuss how the payment transition should be handled. Ask what happens to a discount if one policy later moves to another insurer. Keep both declarations pages together and check that addresses, vehicles and household information are accurate. A bundle should fit the household as it is today.

A request does not bind, change or guarantee coverage. Policy terms, limits, exclusions, insurer eligibility and property details determine available options.
